Spatial Distortion through NI Vision assistant

I am trying to understand the relationship between Max error shown on UI page "Review calibration Results" and overall error after correction (pixels) column in "Point error list" option (refer image 1).

It seems that the max error from UI and maximum value calculated from overall error after correction (pixels) column (with pixel to um conversion) does not match. However their mean values closely match (refer image 1 and excel sheet attached). Pixel to um conversion is given in attached excel sheet.

Please help by explaining this relationship and why is there a difference.

Also, in "NI vision concepts help" document, the error statistics shown on UI has following explanation :

"The error value indicates the radial distance from the true real world position in which the estimated real world coordinates can exist. The error value has a confidence interval of 95%, which implies that the positional error of the estimated real-world coordinate is equal to or smaller than the error value 95% of the time" (refer attached image 2)

Can someone please explain this with an example.
